How do you make a $5 lip balm feel revolutionary?

Curology wanted an exorbitant amount of hype around their first “on-the-go” SKU. I worked with an art director/motion graphics designer to create a sexy, cinematic 3D world inspired by a big tech launch. Peppered with a little bit of cheek, of course—it is, after all, a lip balm, not an iPhone.

 

Every Curology box that shipped out around the launch included an insert upselling current subscribers to add the lip balm. 15% of existing members upgraded their subscriptions to include the lip balm, which blew our goal of 5% out of the water. That’s a lot of smooth lips.
